Muddiest Point #1

Dr. He mentioned in class that Mac OS and Unix are less likely to have issues with Spyware, versus Windows machines. Perhaps he could clarify exactly why Windows are less "resistant?"

  1. Well, the fact is that the number of virus and spywares for windows are much greater than those for mac and unix. However, from my perspective, it is not fully because Windows is more vulnerable than Mac or Unix, but because people who made the spyware can get more benefits on Windows platform because of the largest user group of windows. It is usually "thought" that windows is more vulnerable, but actually there is no definite evidence since Windows XP.
